Each piece of Alder & Ash furniture begins as a rough-sawn oak board, carefully selected for grain pattern and structural integrity. Our artisans use traditional joinery techniques — mortise and tenon, dovetails, and dowels — that have held furniture together for centuries.

We finish every piece with a low-VOC, water-based sealant that protects the wood while allowing its natural character to shine. The result is furniture that ages gracefully, developing a rich patina over years of use.

Our Materials

We source our oak from responsibly managed forests. Our workshop runs on efficient, low-waste processes, and we recycle all wood offcuts into smaller pieces and wood fuel.

We believe that making furniture built to last is itself a responsible choice. The most environmentally friendly piece of furniture is the one you do not need to replace often.

Our furniture is backed by a 1-year structural warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, improper care, accidents, or normal wear and tear. Warranty claims must be accompanied by proof of purchase.

Returns

We accept returns of undamaged furniture within 30 days of delivery. Items must be in their original condition. Custom-made and personalized pieces are non-returnable unless they arrive damaged or defective. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item arrived damaged or defective.
